I am honoured to have received two Ipswich Australia day medallions for community service, the first with my family in 2009 after 11 years volunteering in a live-in role in a 15-bed dual diagnosis psychiatric residential facility. The second award was during my time as the director of the same facility and with my staff, we were again recognised for our contribution to the community of Ipswich QLD in 2014 in supporting people with severe mental ill health, addictions & trauma.

I hold a blue card along with having completed criminal history checks, particularly important when working with children. I also have an up to date first aid certificate and numerous & varied professional development certificates but a number specifically related to my area of interests such as trauma focused therapy, understanding healing approaches with Indigenous Australians and mental health assessments and interventions.
